About the Restaurant

Russian restaurant Uncle Vanya is a place to enjoy yourself in a cozy and cheerful atmosphere with good food and a shot of vodka.

Vintage photos at the walls, homey lamps and colorful, comfortable chairs, style with a suburban flare that is difficult to leave behind. Additional charm is added by music – Vertinsky, Utyosov and early Pugacheva, music hand-picked to create relaxing and nostalgic mood.

Main menu

The main courses are carefully recreated by recipes found in pre-revolution period culinary books. Staying away from the conventional Soviet dishes, the main emphasis remains on the taste of home food and modern presentation.

Drinks

In addition to customary drinks and cocktails, the menu includes also alcoholic and non-alcoholic anti-hangover cocktails based on natural brines and broths.

Events

Restaurant Uncle Vanya is a perfect place for your birthday, wedding or anniversary celebration, or simply for a pleasant meeting with old and dear friends. We are able to accommodate parties of 12 to 140 guests.

There are two floors and several separate halls at the disposal of the guests. We will advise a menu for each event to keep your guests full and happy. We provide a special menu for larger parties and special events – stuffed piglet, roasted duck, steamed brown trout and game.

Upper floor

A hall allows seating of up to 24 people. In total 52 guests can be seated in the upper floor or a buffet for 68 people can be served.

Ground floor

Three ground floor halls hold up to 100 people, seating parties up to 30 guests at one table or serving a buffet table for 140 persons.

For the organization of corporate events or presentations, restaurant Uncle Vanya provides a stage with musical instruments, sound and light equipment, as well as projector and screen.

Awards

Russian restaurant Uncle Vanya was opened at the end of 2013. The unusual, nostalgic concept of the restaurant soon earned popularity among people in Riga and the guests of the capital city, as well as several prestigious awards.

Gift card can be issued for any sum. The gift card is valid for one year from the day of purchase. The gift card can be used several times, until the entire sum has been spent.
